About me
Víctor Cugat
Massage therapist in Gràcia, Barcelona. Massage grounded in listening, calm and attentive touch.
I've been giving massages since 2017. My work is to accompany you through the body, with listening, calm and presence. I don't try to impose a rhythm on the body; I create the conditions for it to let go of what it's already ready to let go of.

Presence as the common thread
For as long as I can remember, I've been an observer. As a child I would spend hours absorbed in the details of the world around me, without knowing that this way of being would become a central part of my work.
For years, stress and personal challenges buried that ability under layers of noise. A deep process of learning and transformation allowed me to recover it and bring it together with bodywork techniques. Today, that presence underpins every session.
I've also learnt by living it. From a young age I lived with physical and breathing blockages, and learning to release them taught me to recognise them in other bodies: the micro-movements, the pauses, what's held in without anyone saying so.

I listen with my whole body
While I work, I pay attention to my own breathing, my posture, my weight and my tensions. When I'm calm, I become a kind of mirror: the other person's rhythm comes through more clearly.
Over the years I've learnt to vary the pressure, the way I hold and support you, and the lightness of my touch, so you can notice what's happening in your body. You don't have to make an effort or do anything: just notice, without resisting. And then, naturally, the body lets go of what it's been holding on to.
This isn't a massage to disconnect from yourself, but to be present. You can have it in silence, or tell me what you need at any time. I keep adapting the massage with you, respecting what you came for.
“He conveys peace and complete relaxation as he works on your body.”

My training
The foundations
Manual massage training (quiromasaje), 2016–2017
ISMET, Barcelona, with Montse Espejo.
Deep Tissue (2025–2026)
With Sandra Piro, at Deep House Barcelona.
What has shaped my way of being the most
Alexander Technique (2016–2019)
Three years of training, at TAT (Terrassa) with Stuart Gutman and Emi Argemí, and at L’Estudi (Barcelona) with Nica Gimeno.
Vipassana meditation (since 2017)
Four ten-day courses at Dhamma Neru (Santa Maria de Palautordera), the last one around 2021. I meditated for years and, although I don't have a daily practice today, it helps me come back to the present whenever I notice I'm losing my centre.
Other training
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (2023)
One year of training with Surya Sarjan, in Barcelona.
Pericardium Release (2017)
Two one-week levels, with Oriol and Montserrat Gascón, in Barcelona.
Who this massage is for
Very different people come here, and almost all of them recognise themselves in one of these situations. In every case, you set the pace and the pressure.
If tiredness has left you feeling on edge. You sleep, but the tension doesn't go away. Here you'll find a space without demands and touch that doesn't intrude. You don't have to explain yourself or justify taking care of yourself: that's reason enough.
If your mind won't stop and your body is running at full speed. Weeks of heavy work, a stiff body and a head that won't switch off. You can wind down without talking and without any big speeches: you don't have to get emotional or do anything. If you prefer firm touch, the Deep Tissue massage is designed for that.
If you're very sensitive to your surroundings. Noise, rushing, abrupt touch… Here everything is slow and clear: I explain what I'm doing, we adjust the light, music and temperature, and you can ask me to stop or change something at any time. Your pace leads.
If you're carrying built-up pain and never find a pause. Neck, back, shoulders… It's time to stop without it being time wasted. If you'd like to tell me where you feel it, I'll listen; if you'd rather stay silent, that's fine too.
If you don't quite recognise yourself in any of these, write to me about how you're feeling and I'll tell you honestly whether this is what you need.
It may not be what you're looking for if:
You want a purely mechanical massage with a lot of force from the very first minute. If you're after firmness, the Deep Tissue massage is the option; if you have a specific pain, tell me before you book.
You have an injury that needs clinical care: I'm not a substitute for a physiotherapist.
You're pregnant: it isn't my speciality, and it's best to see a professional with specific experience.
What people often tell me afterwards
“I feel more relaxed and, at the same time, more energised.”

A space with memories
Where the name comes from
When I was little, my mother's parents lived in the flat below ours in Sabadell. We saw them every day. On Sundays, by tradition, we went to visit my father's parents, and to tell them apart we used to say: “vamos donde los yayos de Barcelona” (“let’s go to Grandma and Grandpa’s in Barcelona”).
That flat is this one. Everything there was good: the smell of food as we arrived, the mothballs in the wardrobes, playing with my grandfather, my grandmother's presence, everything ready, and the freedom to explore every corner. Calm and a warm welcome. That's what I want you to find here.

“My grandparents taught me the value of calm and welcome. That's what I want to pass on here.”
Carrer de Roger de Flor, 259, 2º 1ª.
Second floor, no lift. Three flights of stairs.
