I work slowly and listen before I touch. Each session starts from how you arrive that day, and the pressure, pace and areas are adjusted with you throughout. It isn't a production-line massage: it's time set aside for you.
I've been giving massages since 2017 and have trained in quiromasaje (manual massage), the Alexander Technique, Vipassana meditation and, more recently, Deep Tissue.
Get to know meEach session starts from what you need and how you feel when you arrive. The touch, the pressure and the pauses adapt to you.

If your back feels tense.

If you need to pause.

If you prefer firm, sustained touch.

If your legs need a break.
1
You tell me how you are, where you feel tension and whether there's anything you'd rather avoid. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes, sometimes 10; other times people prefer silence from the start. You decide.
2
A massage table with white sheets, a heated mat in winter and a blanket if needed. We adjust the temperature, light, music and position. Take off as much or as little as you're comfortable with, and you're covered with a sheet.
3
Before we start, I let you know that you can tell me anything or change whatever you like at any time, even get up to go to the toilet. You don't have to get everything right: I'm here for you.

There's water to hand and all the time you need before heading back out.
This is a professional, therapeutic session: your comfort and your limits always come first. If it's your first massage of this kind, we'll go at your pace.
Who it's for: for people whose tiredness has settled in their nerves, for those who can't switch their mind off, for people who are very sensitive to noise and rushing, and for those carrying built-up pain who can never find a pause.
You don't have to talk if you don't want to, or get emotional, or explain yourself: you set the pace and the pressure.
If you'd like firmer touch, the Deep Tissue massage is the option; if you have a specific pain or an injury, tell me before you book.

In a world that never stops, this space offers something simple and rare: time to pause and come back to your body. The name, Donde los Yayos de Barcelona, comes from the Sundays of my childhood: my mother's parents lived in the flat below ours in Sabadell, and to tell them apart from my father's parents we used to say “vamos donde los yayos de Barcelona” (“let’s go to Grandma and Grandpa’s in Barcelona”). This is their flat. The original stone, the wood and the natural light keep its memory alive and create a homely, intimate and serene atmosphere.

What if I've never had a massage?
That's fine. We talk before we start, and we go at your pace.
Can I ask for more or less pressure?
Always. You can tell me at any point during the session.
Can I change or cancel my appointment?
I ask you to let me know at least 24 hours in advance to cancel, or at least 6 hours in advance to change the day and time. If something unexpected comes up, write to me and we'll sort it out: I always rebook whenever I can. More details in the terms.
Can I come if I have an injury or I'm pregnant?
If you have an injury that needs clinical care, a physiotherapist is the better choice: I'm not a substitute for one. Pregnancy isn't my speciality, and it's best to see a professional with specific experience. Write to me and we'll see.
Is there a lift?
No: I'm on the second floor. If stairs are difficult for you, write to me beforehand and we'll talk it through.
Book in a few simple steps, or write to me if you'd like to mention something first. I reply within a few hours during my working hours.
