FAQs
Before you come, you might want to know this
Here you'll find answers to the most common questions before your visit. If there's something you'd rather tell me personally, feel free to write to me.
PRACTICAL MATTERS
Before the session
Which massage can I choose?
If you're looking to slow down and rest, the relaxing massage can be a good place to start. If your back feels tense or your legs need attention, we can focus on them with a back, neck and shoulder massage or a leg and hip massage. If you're looking for something to release knots and tension, the back, neck and shoulder massage is a good starting point. The Deep Tissue massage has a different kind of touch: sustained pressure and very slow gliding strokes. You don't need to know the techniques; if you tell me what you need, I'll help you choose.
How do I know which massage suits me?
You can go by what you're looking for: general rest, attention to your back or legs, or a slow, deep approach. On the Massages page you'll find the options, lengths and prices. If you're not sure, write to me and I'll help you choose before you book.
How much does a session cost and how long does it last?
Prices per session
You can compare the four massages and choose the one that suits you.
What happens in my first session?
Before we start, we talk briefly about how you're feeling, what you need and what intensity feels comfortable. You don't need to know in advance which massage is right for you. During the session you can tell me if you'd like to adjust the pressure or anything else to do with your comfort. If it's your first time with me, I recommend 90 minutes: at first I need time to learn how your body responds, and your body needs time to adapt to new touch. If you'd rather start with something shorter, 60 minutes works very well too.
What should I wear for the session?
You don't need to bring anything special. You can decide how far you're comfortable undressing. Your intimate areas will always stay covered by a sheet.
Is massage safe for me if I have a health condition?
It's important that you tell me about any relevant medical condition, injury, surgery or medication. We'll adapt or postpone the session when necessary; if you have any medical concerns, check with your healthcare professional first.
Can I book if I'm pregnant?
Pregnancy isn't my speciality, and it's best to see a professional with specific experience. Write to me before booking and we'll see.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
The approach and the space
What makes the experience at Donde los Yayos de Barcelona special?
It isn't just a massage. It's an invitation to pause and reconnect with yourself in a space where time slows down. There's no rush here: there's listening, calm and presence.
What do the massages have in common?
They share a way of working based on listening, presence and attentive touch. I take care of the pace, the continuity of touch and the pauses, following how you're receiving the massage. What changes is the starting point: resting, focusing on an area such as the back or legs, or the Deep Tissue approach of sustained pressure and slow gliding strokes.
What kind of people come to Donde los Yayos de Barcelona?
Adults looking for something more than a conventional massage: people who need a pause, who are carrying a lot or who want to reconnect with their body. Sessions are for people aged 18 and over.
How do emotions come into the massage?
Body and emotions are connected. Sometimes, as you slow down, sensations, memories or emotions may come up. It doesn't have to happen, and if it does, it's met with respect, without interpreting or forcing anything.
Why did you choose your grandparents' flat as your workspace?
Because it's a place full of history and warmth. For me it stands for love, welcome and calm. I didn't want a cold consulting room, but a refuge with memories.
Is there a lift to reach the space?
No. I'm at Carrer de Roger de Flor, 259, 2º 1ª, on the second floor with no lift. It's reached by three flights of stairs. If stairs are difficult for you, write to me beforehand and we'll talk it through.
What does “mindful touch” mean?
It means being present in every touch, sensing how the body responds and adjusting the pace, pressure and pauses to what the person needs at that moment.
FAQs
During the session
Will the massage hurt?
It shouldn't become a painful experience. If you feel any discomfort, tell me and I'll adjust the pressure, the position or the approach. The intensity is agreed with you.
Can I talk during the massage?
Of course. If you need to express yourself, you can. You can also choose silence. There's no right way to experience the session.
What should I do if I feel uncomfortable during the session?
Tell me at the time. We can adjust the pressure, position, temperature, music or anything else. Your safety, comfort and limits are part of the session.
FAQs
After the session
Is it normal to feel emotional after the massage?
As tension eases, you may feel more emotionally sensitive. It doesn't happen to everyone. Give yourself space to feel it and, if anything worries you or persists, seek appropriate professional support.
What should I do after the session?
If you can, leave yourself a little time before going back to the rush. A gentle walk, drinking water and resting can help you integrate the experience. Avoid intense activity straight afterwards if your body is asking for calm.
How often should I have a massage?
It depends on your needs and preferences. Some people come occasionally; others choose to come weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We can talk about it without creating dependence.
What benefits can I expect after several sessions?
The experience is different for everyone. With some continuity, some people find it easier to slow down, recognise their tensions and regain a sense of physical rest.

See the full booking terms and conditions, including withdrawal from distance contracts.
Which payment methods do you accept?
You can pay in cash, by Bizum, by bank transfer or by card. Choose whichever option suits you best.
I'd like to give a massage as a gift. How do we go about it?
You can give an undated digital gift card: you write to me, we agree on the massage and the payment, and the person receiving it then chooses their appointment. If you already know which massage and which day suit them, you can book and pay first with your own contact details. Then let me know which booking you've made and the name of the person receiving the gift so I can prepare the card. I send it to you by email or WhatsApp. That's how you can give a massage as a gift.
